Academic appointment and promotion processes combine public announcements, candidate applications, document checks, jury assignments, evaluations, academic scoring, and final decisions. When these activities are managed through disconnected tools or manual coordination, it becomes difficult to maintain a consistent process, track responsibilities, and provide a clear audit trail.
The Academic Appointment and Promotion Management System brings the full evaluation lifecycle into one platform. Candidates can review open positions, create applications, upload supporting documents, and follow the status of their submissions. Authorized institutional users can access the evaluation, control, and process-tracking screens available to their roles.
The platform supports distinct workflows for candidates, announcement and process managers, HR or document-control staff, internal jury members, external jury members, and administrators.
The system is built with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and a static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript interface. The application is containerized with Docker Compose and supports LDAP or SSO, OTP verification, and role-based authorization. The architecture was designed to keep institutional workflows traceable, secure, and maintainable.
I am the owner and developer of the project. My responsibilities include defining the project scope, designing process and user flows, establishing the role and authorization model, structuring the jury evaluation and scoring process, and coordinating operational and security requirements.
The project brings the academic appointment and promotion lifecycle together in one controlled platform. It standardizes document and evaluation processes, improves traceability and auditability, and gives each user role access to the information and actions relevant to its responsibilities.
